I have a van with a hatch back window that is stuck. How in the world can I get it open? Its a1995 chevy astro?

When you press the hatch release on you can hear one side of the window opening and u can pull it up a little but the other side does nothing....I hope there is some4 mechanically inclined body shop person out there somewhere will a helpful tip...
