Why is the cause of global warming even an issue?

The truth has been revealed. But sadly the 'wingers of the right' will now come after you with hooks, chains, swords, guns, pitchforks, bricks, bats and broken off pool cues. Burn the witch...burn the witch! Of course they'll deny that burning you will produce more CO2 and other noxious byproducts, but what else is new? In a country founded on the Principles of the Great Enlightenment of the 18th Century we've more or less...more...gone downhill. The cause of Science and Reason has taken a considerable slide since the the days of the Bush Junta where both science and reason were replaced with faith and superstition. The right wing radio dummies and the Fools of Fox have just about killed off the idea in the minds of a significant number of our fellow Americans that science is DATA, and after you've aculated a giant mountain of data that points to an ever increasing and far more robust 'greenhouse effect' a lot of ice is going to melt, a lot of sea water is going to warm and a lot of climate is going to change...not all in a day because there's a lot of ice to melt and seawater to warm, but a tipping point HAS to be reached if we add much more CO2 to our paper thin atmosphere. We're at 389ppm now....350ppm, a point reached in 1990 is considered the leading edge of the 'red zone' and 450ppm is where the hockey stick goes nuts. I can't wait to hear what some of the 'deniers' are going to contribute....I suspect that the name Al Gore will show up. Ditto heads...'ya gotta' love 'em!
