Boyfriend has freaked out!!!?

I'm not 100% what to say here. If you guys live somewhere close by (Canada or other country near US) then i think he's being silly to behave the way he is. However, if you live somewhere far as in Europe or Asia...he may be right into thinking that he's scared to start a new life there. I was forcefully moved here (Canada) with my family and i really hated it. I miss my home lots and the rest of my family is home. I personally think you should go ahead and try your chance in America. He may be scared a lot more than just leaving his home, he may have something else he's not telling you about. If you can't persuade him to go with you, and since he's not contacting you, just go without him. I would try to contact him a few more times, just to see if i can save anything from the time spent with him, however this is about your future, and if he's unwilling to try this, then maybe you should think of moving on.
