Do I need to have Boy Scout experience to be a camp Counselor/Instructor?

I have no former affiliation with the BOA. I do have training in survival, orienteering, hiking, rifle safety/marksmanship, and the like. I am 16, and I would like to be a summer counselor at a local boy scout camp (Named Camp Birch). Does anyone know if I can become this?
